The Alhambra Catholic Invitation Tournament is a basketball tournament that invites Catholic High Schools in America (and even Canada) to compete together in the tiny town of Cumberland, Maryland.
This isn't just an ordinary tournament, however. This tournament has been said to be one of the (if not the most) prestigious high school basketball tournaments in the United States. The schools that are invited to Cumberland aren't your ordinary varsity teams, either. These teams have to prove themselves during their regular schools seasons to show the ACIT staff that they are worth watching at the tournament.
This season, my Judge Memorial team proved ourselves and we got invited to this tournament for the 13th time in our school's history. The other schools that were invited were: Mount Saint Joseph's, DeMatha High School, Bishop Walsh (the host school), St. Frances Academy, Cathedral High School (from Ontario), Benedictine High School, and Gonzaga Prep High School.
