abstinence and my views on it

I view abstinence as something that every teenager should go with and stay away from sex for right now. Abstinence has been talked about by many people and is a national debate or even a worldwide debate. At my current age abstinence is something helpful to keep I guess safe in a way, out of trouble and out of responsibilities that I would need to take if I wasn't abstinent (like having to take care of a baby). People of different age groups have different views on this like most parents advise their kids to be abstinent until they are mature enough as adults to know when they are ready. Most teenagers view abstinence as something that's " not cool" or something like that. Many people in my family believe that sex is only something that should be reserved for marriage and that abstinence is the ideal choice for right now and I believe that. There are so many consequences of sex at this age of being a teenager such as having to become a parent if a baby comes out and maybe harboring an STI. This could impact the future of a teen in so many ways and that's why I think abstinence at this age is a could choice for all of us.
