There's some tension and violence between a few students in our school and the middle school that we share our building with. We do a pretty good job of describing what happened. We're thinking about positive next steps.

We make our podcast every school day, Mondays - Thursdays during our Acacemy period, which is at the end of our day.

We are:

We had Mr. Allison for English last year, and now we have him for Academy, Mondays - Thursdays from 2:15 - 2:52 p.m. Eastern.

Hello, my name is Francisco, and I am from the school, Baccalaureate School for Global Education, I feel bad for what your high school is passing through. I think the principals in your school should take more action in trying to do something about this. Because this is not goo, a bunch of kids cannot go fighting with another bunch of kids for nothing, I really think that yoyu guys should either solve this problem in between yourselves, or get the police and grown-ups in charge. What Ireally wonder though, is the part where one of the boys says that everyone should have a war, like one school on one side and one on the other, I do not really think that it would solve anything, but leave a lot of people hurt and maybe even some deaths. Some people do not know it, but no one really knows where some of the kids that come to this school building come from, they could come from parents that are serious criminals. But after what I heard that is happening to you guys because of some of the people in IS 237, I am really worried about people that go to my school. Although my school is really small, sometimes there are fuights, and sometimes I even see people doing drugs, or stealing things from the school, I really think that all of us should do something to try and end this once and for all.

Hi, I am Anh-Do. I really liked how you did your podcast and I also want to say that I am from B.S.G.E. We do not seem to have a lot of chaos when the adults are lokking, but behind their backs, a lot of kids start to annoy others. i should know because whenever I go to school, I always become the main target of everyone stupid insults and I just want to find my comfortable place. Everyone keeps saying that I must be miserable 24/7, but they do not seem to understand. They keep saying that the reason why they are so mean to me is because I started being mean to them in the first place. These are one of the things that really tick me off because it was their fault and they are just acting as complete cowards by blaming me and want to stir up big trouble. Last year, the FIRST FEW MINUTES I went to my classes, these jerks kept on tormenting me like there would be no end. Even when I say the truth, these dorks do not listen and act like total snobbish freaks. These are some people who are still in my class and they still continue causing trouble every moment of my existense.

Hey my name is Steven and i go to BSGE that is a middle school and high school cramed into one small building. Its semms you guys have some sort of crisis in your school since students are disrespecting teachers. It looks like the I.S 237 kids are starting all of the issues in your school and i like your ideas on how to solve your problems between them. Our school doesnt have as much issues are your school does so i am not really familar with violence. I agree with both groups of kids making peace because violence would just lead to more violence and that would just anger more of the kids between those schools.

Hi my name is Habiba and I also go to BSGE. Our school is similar to yours but we share the building with a few other grades. BSGE has classes for grades 7 through 12. Our Middle Years Program which is similar to your middle school is sort of like your middle school. Unlike your building, our building is of one school with students of all ages. However, there isn't any violence betweeen us. The students here are really friendly. In your school, I think it's a good idea for you to keep the tension positive and instead of negative responce, I think you guys should continue to try to avoid violence.

Hello, my name is Daniel, and I go to B.S.G.E. or Baccalaureate School for Global Education and we are also a school that is a little similar to yours we also have some kids disrespecting teachers not to many and we do have some fights in school some for very stupid reasons. I do agree with you guys that people should learn to get along and you guys should find positive steps to take care of the problems between both of the schools. Violence is a big problem in schools today and everyone should start taking actions or at least come up with some to fix the problem.

Hi my name is Samantha and I completely agree with some of the things you said in your podcast. I agree with you when you said that if you don't try to stop the fighting and disagreements, it will escalate and become more violent. I go to a school that is both middle school and high school, but we don't have the same problems that your school does. I feel bad that the other school you share the building with is starting the problems and yet both of your schools are getting a bad reputation. If I were put in a position where my school was dangerous to go to everyday, I would try to talk it out with the principals of both the schools and ask them if they could do something to stop this problem, or at least help it minimize. I really liked your podcast because it was very informing and I learned a lot about what you guys were thinking. With what I heard, your school's students have a lot of good ideas and I think this problem will be solved sooner or later. :)
