As many of you know, our economy is currently taking a high hit. inflation is at a 27 year high. we don't have the money to spend, and according to the Wall street analyst the average income has dropped 1.6% since last month. personal incomes are not keeping up with the inflation. according to a government report, inflation has gotten so rampant that they are considering a 2.3% rise in consumer prices is acceptable. as most of you are aware, gas prices have risen 26% in the last year alone. but gas is not the only thing increasing in price; food is also taking a turn for the worst. according to Money Morning, Kraft food is planning on raising their prices 12-13% and would not be surprised if they had to increase them as much as 25%. at the rate that our economy is falling, something needs to be done quick, or the country of dreams will be right back to where it was when the great depression hit in the 1930's.

with the 2008 presidential election approaching, the Us citizens need to become more aware of what is happening, and what our future president is going to do to change it. all it takes is a few minutes of researching and raising your voice to save our lives as we know it. Both candidates claim to have a plan that will turn around the economic crisis that we are in.

John McCain claims that he is in full support of lowering taxes to help small businesses, giving tax breaks to companies that invest in equipment and technology, and wants to establish a permanent tax credit for those who invest in research and development.

Barack Obama is also in favor of making many changes to our economy and tax plans. He is willing to give tax incentives to companies that keep jobs in the US and put money into unemployment insurance. Obama would give tax incentives to working middle class Americans, and give our country a $50 billion dollar jump start to our countries economy. would put a stop to mortgage frod and predatory lending, and has even offered to give federal money to those hit hardest by this economic crisis.

the good news is, that this can all change! so do our country a favor, and get involved.

“I believe that America's free market has been the engine of America's great progress. It's created a prosperity that is the envy of the world. It's led to a standard of living unmatched in history. And it has provided great rewards to the innovators and risk-takers who have made America a beacon for science, and technology, and discovery…We are all in this together. From CEOs to shareholders, from financiers to factory workers, we all have a stake in each other's success because the more Americans prosper, the more America prospers.” — Barack Obama, New York, NY, September 17, 2007
