These are all the materials needed in order to make berry cake.
You need to mix all the ingredients together and it should look like this.
Let it bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
You can be creative and add some toppings like frosting, berries, and sprinkles.

In order to make this delicious berry cake, you need to first gather all your ingredients. They are:
Berry Cake:
1. 4 eggs
2. 1 cup of sugar
3. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4. 2 cups of berries
5. 1 cup of flour
6. 1/3 cup of buttermilk
7. 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda with lemon squeezed on it
Frosting:
1. 1/2 cup of sour cream
2. 4 tablespoons of softened butter
3. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4.2 3/4 cups of confectioner sugar
5. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

In order to make this you first need to crack 4 eggs, making sure no shells get in. Then, you add 1 cup of sugar and mix it thoroughly. Then you would add the 2 cups of berries and the color should turn purplish .After, you would add vanilla and buttermilk. Right before you put in the flour you would put in the baking soda with lemon juice in order for the cake to rise and be thick. Last but not least the flour.
You then would start the preparations for the baking. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and get a buttered tray. When you are ready to cook put in the mixture and set it for about 40 minutes (varies on size of pan).

When it comes out take a toothpick and make sure it comes out dry. Then let it cool and get the frosting ready.
To make the frosting you need to soften butter and mix it with sour cream, sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice.
You would then put it on the cake and decorate it as you wish. I put some berries and sprinkles.

The reason I made this cake was because it sounded really yummy and I thought it was a good challenge for me to make. Overall, the cake came out pretty good, but I now know I need more practice and I hope I become a better baker in the future.
