After reading chapter 13,14, and 15
After reading these chapters tea cake left Janie all by herself at the hotel right after they got married and went off with her 200$ that she had kept hidden. He was supposed to go get fish but he came back like a day later without any fish and almost all Janie's money spent and was telling a amazing story about what happened. "You never even loved me tuh git dat close" She pouted. This is Janies response after hearing Tea Cake's crazy story. Janie is expressing her anger toward him having fun without her and she is trying to show she would like to go too next time he goes off like that. She wants to get close to him emotionally.
Two things that janie says that sshows what she thinks about Tea Cake. Janie says that if Tea Cake ever goes out again without her "Ah specks tuh kill you dead" She is very angry as you can see because Tea Cake went and had fun without her and Zora Hurtson is showing that women like fun too not just men and they should be treated equal as they are and they want to do things togheter with theyre husbands.
Tea Cake wants to get Janies money back after he spent it all so he goes gambling again by himself just after he told Janie that he will take her with him everywhere he goes but first he buys a knife to I guess make sure he gets the money a way or another. "Ah'l come home wid de money or Ah''ll come back on a stretcher" He says this sugesting that he is going Spartan style on gambling and if he loses he will attempt to rob and kill someone to get his money. I bet Janie feels worried about this but she dosnt want to get in Tea Cakes way.
Tea Cake and Janies relationship at the end of chapter 15 has actualy grown stronger after going to the argue with Nukie i think it made Janie realize that Tea Cake only had eyes for her and not any other woman out there.
