The book Alex Rider "Skeleton Key" so far is about a young boy named Alex Rider trying to stop nuclear bombs from dropping all over the world. One quote from the book that is interesting so far is "Your name?"The movements of the man's mouth didn't quite match what he was saying, so seeing him speak was a bit like watching a badly dubbed film.
"Alex Gardiner," Alex said. "Your real name?""I just told you.""You lied. Your real name is Alex Rider.""Why ask if you think you know?” This quote shows how when Alex is in contact with strangers, he is ordered to lie in order to keep hidden.

This quote in the book, shows how Alex has to keep his own identity secret. The guy asking him, wanted to test Alex to see if he would lie or not. The situation that Alex was in had forced him to lie, because he had been told to not give away his identity. If Alex had been publicized, he would have to be excluded from "M16", because he was revealed. The quote shows the character of Alex honors his word and follows orders of the group, he was just doing what he was told.
