"And there was a sound like people fighting with swords..."
The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time has really made me think that there are a lot of things to come and that will happen to Christopher throughout his journey. A journey is not a journey without obstacles, or at least that's what I think. There have been many things that Christopher has came across and therefore he has been put down, but has been picked back up by his mentality and his way to keep himself from going crazy, although people already think he is.
I think The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, by Mark Haddon is really interesting because the excitement that Christopher is going through and he is almost home with his mother. This is really interesting because I really want to know if he will ever get to his mother on time before anything.
A passage from page 176 that seems important is: "And then there was a sound like people fighting with swords and I could feel a strong wind and a roaring started and I closed my eyes and the roaring got louder and I groaned really loudly but I couldn't block it out of my ears and I thought the little station was going to collapse or there was a big fire somewhere and I was going to die. " I think this is descriptive because you could have the picture in your mind where you could actually view all the things that are going in his surroundings.
Another part that I liked was: "And then trains coming in and out of the station were in a rhythm, like music or drumming." This is an example of something important in this book. It shows that Christopher can think outside the box as usual to comfort himself this time.
What's probably going to happen next is Christopher will finally get to London. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book because I wanna experience the ride on the train with him to his mother's address. =)
