I read a Wikipedia article called, "Argument for and against drugs", Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia. 11/18/2006 12:54 PM at this link. This article was very interesting and amazing. There is two sides of the argument about drugs and how each side is towards drugs. This article also helps me understand why some people do drugs. I even found out things that I heard even knew about that is happening in this world.
When I saw the line, "Children being lured into the illegal drug trade." it caught my attention. That is because from that line I knew from there that I am going to learn something about kids and their relationship with drugs. I found out that even kid at young as12 to as old as 17 are being lured into selling drugs. The reason behind this is because it is fast money for the kids and the experience of making easy money at such a young age can ruin a kid's mind. Within this range of kids this age there is about 800,000 kids worldwide selling drugs in public.
I know this is accurate because in another article called, "Street children in Yemen, caught between selling drugs and sex slavery." This article shows kids in the Middle East selling drugs to make money. This poor place called Yemen has over 30,000 kids on the streets selling drugs and sex slavery. People did a research and 4,760 street kids were surveyed. In that amount of kids 718 were girls and 4,042 were boys. They were between the age of 6 and 17.
Another line I saw that was, "It is argued that persons should be able to do whatever they want with their bodies, including the recreational use of drugs, as long as they do not harm others." America promised freedom and most people came here because of freedom. If someone wants to do drugs then let them do drugs since it is their decision and we have no saying in it. Whatever they want to do that is within his own self and not affect anyone around him then it should be fine because of freedom.
"#TL05A: THE NATURE OF FREEDOM", by Frederick Mann tells us the definition of freedom from more then one person. Two people have the definition of freedom to do things that affects themselves only and not the people around them. "Freedom is a condition in which a person's ownership rights in his own body and his legitimate material property are not invaded, are not aggressed against.", by Murray N. Rothbard tells us that your body is your body and no one should have a saying in it. Also, "Freedom is living your life as you want to live it.", by Harry Browne. To me his idea of freedom makes me think if someone do drugs or not it is no concern to anyone UNLESS they influence others.
This article made me learn something I never thought that was actually happening in the world. That is how young kids that are not even old enough to walk in the streets in the USA are already selling drugs and earning money in other part of the world. Making money is a big thing everyone wants and need but with all these kids under the influence, more and more kids will soon be under the influence and we need to stop this chain of drug influences

Dear PHuang,
I read your post "Arguments for and against drugs." because my question is about depression and from former articles I have read I noticed that most of them say that people that are depression turn to drugs for a way out of reality.

One sentence you wrote

Well depression and drugs go

Well depression and drugs go hand in hand. That is why kids are mostly in drugs too. Most kidas are depressed for no reason and not kids are being lored into this.
