Not all games are the same. Some are computer games that help you learn things. Others seem to be designed to make you think a lot. While some are played simply for pleasure. Whatever game it is, the goals are always the same: to get people to play and buy their game. I enjoy playing games because it's fun. Also by playing games, it challenges my mind. I sometimes have to think of different ways or strategies to play different games. After playing certain games it gets addicting.

I occasionally enjoy playing computer games such as Diner Dash 1 and 2 and Wedding Dash. Anything and everything that makes you want to keep playing is fun. I love to challenge my mind, while quickly thinking on my feet because it makes me feel like I accomplished something, and I like listening to the background music in the game. I enjoy knowing that I'm one step closer to completing all the levels and to being a winner. If I happen to lose, I do what any other player would do. I tell myself that I need to try again. Even when I do lose I keep trying because the games are fun to play and it's another chance to win. Diner Dash is like a race car that drives all over the place.

Recently, I've been spending some time playing the game Ayiti. This is a game in which you have to take care of a family living in Haiti. The goal of the game is to make sure the family is happy, healthy and doesn't go into debt. This is a goal easier said than done. You want to make money so that you can pay for the hospital when your family gets sick but to make money you need to work by getting a job. But if you work too hard, you get sick and then you can't work which causes you to not make money. If don't make money you can't pay for the hospital and if you can't do that then you die. By the end of the game, if you are lucky enough to make it to the end of all four years in the game, the game will congratulate you and tell you about each member in your family such as if they were healthy throughout the years or the types of jobs they spent most of the time doing.

The first time you play the game, you might think the game is difficult. You don't know any of the trick to make your family live longer so eventually your family gets sick from working and die since you couldn't pay for the hospital treatments. It really isn't until the third or fourth time when the game starts to get repetitive that you truly realize that you have to not make everyone in the family work too hard even though they make more money that way. Also, the family doesn't get as sick if you buy shoes for them to wear. You begin to understand how to play the game better and the few key things you need to do in order for your family to survive.

There are times when you are playing this game that you want to quit. You don't want to quit even though members of your family are dying. You just have to make sure you save enough money to keep the family healthy and happy. But you keep going because you want to get to the next level and have the feeling of accomplishment. So you keep playing and keep trying. Trying to save money to pay for your family's health and getting your family an education. You want to make sure your family doesn't die and gets some education. The trick to getting the family education is to not put all the children in school at once and to volunteer. Ayiti is a snail that's interesting to look at but doesn't do much physically.
