Being One
The Sea runs miles across,
The signal takes oh so long,
It can be a minute or two before it gets through,
The food we eat, the faces we see,
Of all different ethics, that is not hard to believe.
This place we call home can end with a push of a button,
Trying to make it to first base without bunting,
This society, where as animals and humans are hunting.
I hear "change," but don't see anything,
This place I call home is flying through space,
Do we tend to feel the movements as it shapes
us to be better as a loving race, battlefields that makes men great.
New generations that will take the next place to make it better for us to take.
