With the economy being what it is, many seniors in high school like myself are wondering what job they should prepare themselves for in college. According to the BLS, it would seem healthcare, especially nursing and care for the elderly, is the way to go.
According to Gabby Hyman, author of "America's Most Wanted: High Demand Jobs" and the BLS, the jobs that will be in the most demand in the future are: Network Systems and Data Communications Analysts, Post secondary teachers, Personal and Home Care Aids, Computer Software engineers, Registered Nurses,  Customer Service Representatives, Executive Secretaries and Administrative Assistants, and Childcare workers. Most of these jobs require at least a bachelors degree, with some (Post secondary teacher) requiring a PhD. According to CareerOneStop, other jobs projected to experience much growth in the next few years include, Veterinarians, veterinary technicians, dental hygienists, physical therapy assistants, Pharmacy technicians, marriage and family therapy counselors, Financial analysts, and skin care specialists. The Health Care fields is one of the fastest growing fields.
In contrast, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs that will experience a significant decrease in employment in the next few years include manufacturing jobs and jobs in agriculture, forestry and fishing.

that is true that more people are asking people to include technology in their resumes and are asking less of physical labor. even though physical jobs are still in demand, in the future most of the jobs will most likely be taken by robots that are programed to do the job. the most you might see humans in the future might only be in the corporate buisness and in eeveloping new technologies.
