Is the book for the Federal Budget big enough? How could the book be so large when we have no money to spend?

According to the whole nation we are currently in a "recession", yet there is this exaggeration of the budget today. This may be a cartoon but this is technically the real deal. We as a nation, including the  president claim we are in trillions of dollars of debt, yet we're spending so much money.

This interested me because its a big deal and the fact that the people who we have in power claim to be helping this country really arent at all really gets me going.... Like the budget set to save AIG a little while back, and instead of actually "saving" the company the comapny also  claims they have no money but they still give bonuses to executives.

thats true, i agree with what your saying. the state of the economy is really bad and we dont have money to spend all over. though we dont have this money to spend we are still spending it. the government needs to take greater responsibility and deal with the situation that we are in. the example you give with the AIG company is also something that made many people mad. the government claims that there is no more money to spare and yet bonuses are being given out in very large amounts.

HAhahaha I agree and that

HAhahaha I agree and that cartoon is funny. i like the elephant since he got a point. This comes to show how helpless some people are even though they hold most power.

Initially, I really like

Initially, I really like this picture because it is drawn goodly and I like the way it is. It would grab my attention if I had seen it. Anyhow, I agree with this picture and the government does want and use a lot of money from us. We are in huge debt. This in a way relates to my own picture I put up with Obama having to deal with the economy. It's very interesting.
