Well this book so far is quiet interesting. I have never read a book so entertaining. It is wildy humorous and full of things that make you think. The book is called "the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime" From what i have read so far, it is about this 15 year old male who is unfortunately autistic which makes him all the more interesting. He is thinking on very logical terms and everything is cause and effect for him. I can definitely relate to him due to the fact that i think this way also. I think that everything in the world is somehow connected. All the beings, articles, organisms, just anything and everything has a correlation. Somehow,in this book there is a huge cause and effect chain reaction going on. My mind works only in that way, i break everything down into commonsense. That is the problem i am having these days and have had for a very long time. Some of the things that i see my fellow classmates and other kids my age or just people in general doing just does not make any sense...not even remotely. It really is arduous because it happens all the time. I just keep seeing people doing the same kinds of things over and over and i can't stop it. So like him, I do not understand A lot of the things that happen in today's society. Humans today seem very impulsive and when they have feelings, they tend to do whatever is necessary to either enhance that feeling or stop it regardless of other peoples thoughts or feelings about it. This indeed, is a horrible way to live but the reason that seems justifiable to everyone is that its life and you can do whatever you want. At the same time.if people did whatever they wanted to all the time, the world would be an even vulgar, formidable place then it already is.

A passage from pages 32-33 caught my attention because within this passage, there was an ample amount of concerns relating to religion and god. Christopher says that heaven does not exist and people just create it in their minds due to the fact that they are afraid of dying. I mean i know that probably one of the desires of the human is to live forever but that is extremely surreal at the moment. Dying is a part of life. I mean, think about if nobody were to ever die. I believe that everything has a capacity and that we would just be taking up to much space. If nothing ended, there would be no such thing as the next generation. Everything would just continue and there would be no real goal. There would be nothing "next" and we would be moving but staying in the same place simultaneously. Heaven is just an illusion. Just a fantasy that we create in our minds to believe that there is something "after" for us. There is indeed something after...its called a human. Another person will take our place just as soon as we leave. Nobody goes anywhere if you think about it. We stay here and get buried in the ground and decompose back into the earth. It really is a vicious cycle.

I had a feeling of nostalgia when i was reading this section of the book because i went back ihad gone to a funeral once. The deceased was not related to me but it was one of my mom,s friends. When they let everyone look at the body and when i saw it,alot of thoughts raced through my head. I was wondering how such an unfortunate series of events could take place all of a sudden. It is like, one day you are alive and then the next day, your dead. It really is weird. I was wondering how such a transition could be set in order. I actually became ver dolorous and melancholy just thinking about it. Then i thought about my life and when would it be my time to pass and it kind of scared me.

The book is very easy to read and so i really think i know what is going to happen next. As of right now, christopher is discussing his memory which to him is astounding. He uses the analogy of a film or movie to describe it. More specifically,he can fast-forward,rewind or pause just like a flick. I am guessing that he is going to keep on talking about this and then he is going to get back into solving the mystery of the dead dog. His father told him to stop minding other peoples buisness and he promised he would stay out but he is still asking questions. I think that eventually,he is going to find out who did it.

I really am looking forward to reading the rest of the book. I am deep in and so far it has been quiet a read. The thing that i like about this book is that it shows that sometimes mental disorders can mean alot of different things when you have one. Even though this kid is autistic, everything that he does is awesome. I really like the way he thinks because like i said,i think like that too.  This is a great book and i recommend it to anyone.
