The 2009 baseball season has started getting under way in the MLB and teams are preparing.  The St. Louis Cardinals are no different and are coming in this year with high hopes, confidence, excitement, and renewed health.
Now the catching position is probably one of the most important positions in baseball.

"both as a signal caller and as a defensive staple. And luckily for the St. Louis Cardinals, they seem pretty well off at the backstop position."

And st. Louis has just that a, good catcher.  Yadier Molina has always been an underrated catcher in the National League. His throwing arm is like a cannon, his pitching-calling is second to none, and his swing has immensely improved over the years.  He hit .304 last year, which is great for third in the MLB among starting catchers, with seven home runs and 56 RBIs. If Yadier can continue to stay healthy and improve continuously, it's likely he will be able to make All-Star's.
