The Catcher in The Rye
I'm interested in “ The Catcher In The Rye” by J.D Salinger because I can relate to Holden Caulfield, the main character. A lot of things that happened to the Holden also happened to me. For example in the book holden, the Main character and his fellow classmates were at an assembly and one of his friends farted right in the middle of a guy's speech. This was funny because in my old school we had speakers come to our school and talk about how much school is important and things like that and my friend just let one rip right in the middle of the guys speech.
The Catcher In The Rye takes place in the late 1950s and is narrated by a boy named Holden Caulfield. Holden is not specific about his scene while he’s telling the story but he in the beginning he was watching a football game. this story is pretty funny too. When I was on the train over the weekend I couldn't stop laughing when Holden was talking about how old his old teacher Old Spencer was.
This weekend I was reading a bit more of my book and some funny things came about. Some of these things I can also relate to because they either happened to me of someone who I know. Me and this main character has lots in common.
I'm looking forward to reading more of this book and hopefully I don't get bored toward the end and then don't finish it. Most books I read starts to get boring after a while and I really don't want to read them anymore.
