Chasing Ice: Global Warming Isn't A Myth
Last Friday the senior class at Judge Memorial had the privilege of viewing a documentary called "Chasing Ice" at the Sundance Film Festival. This documentary portrayed a photographer who's photographed the visual evidence of global warming --- melting glaciers in the northern hemisphere. Before seeing this documentary, I was a believer in global warming, but I never thought it was this serious. Chasing Ice made me realize how much the people in our world have an impact on the environment. Temperatures are higher than ever, and the Earth could be in serious trouble if this trend continues over the next century. Pollution in the air is the leading cause of global warming, and humans are behind this. However, there are many things we could do to help the cause. Next time you think about idling your car, think again and don't pollute the air. For any non-believers out there who insist that global warming does not exist, Chasing Ice will show you the reality in photographs and help you to change your opinion.
