A Clash Of Religions: Muslim and Christian

Religious conflict is raging through out the country and streets of Egypt. There is so much hate crossing the paths of the Christians in Egypt. There have been reports of violent attacks such as bombings and riots on the streets of this country. This clash of religions has led to deaths because of the violent behavior Muslims are showing towards Christians. This prejudice between the Muslims and Christians of Egypt has been going on for a long time, but now the sectarian violence has been the worst in years. Why can’t they just get along for once and accept and respect each others religion. I am sure that it is almost impossible to get rid of every single Christian in Egypt so why not atleast just deal with it. “Egyptians, both Christian and Muslim, have to understand we live in the same country and if we do not believe we are in this together, then the revolution will fail and we will fall back to dictatorship and mistrust,” said George Ishaq. I, for one, think this is a little ridiculous because what fed this wild hate was an Islamic image being posted on Facebook by a Christian teenager. The image was on this teenagers wall but he did not purposefully put it there. Now the teenager is being accused of “contempt of Islam”. A mere image that started this whole stur of religions. A mere image that led to deaths of innocent Christians. A mere image that has caused religious sectarianism.
