Conceptual Photography

This image represents National Flossing Day. It shows the two main flossing techniques, string and the toothpick-like flossing stick. At first, I wanted to do this shot with the floss wrapped tightly around someone's fingers, maybe even with the floss in between teeth. However it became easiest to just take a picture of the floss itself. The original idea would really demonstrate actual flossing for flossing day, the way it came out shows floss itself. I think people can put two and two together though and see that floss is used for flossing, hence flossing day.
