I had learned from this web page that Creative Commons (CC) has launched a web tool aiding people in who want to publish pieces.  You can access it on the CC website and it has been finished after over a year of developement.  Creative Commons offers a large variety of copyright licenses, which allows people to add on property rights in varying levels to their own work making things restricted (all things or some things) which protects their own ideas.
