1 pound garaetteok/tteokbokki tteok* (Rice Cakes), that has to be about 2-inch long.
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
4 ounces lean beef like sirloin or rib eye
1 medium size carrot
1/2 medium size sweet onion
salt and pepper to taste
2 teaspoons sugar
Add 1 tablespoon of salt and the rice cake pieces. Boil and wait. The time required will vary depending on the condition of rice cakes. The rice cake will be very soft, but it will become harder as it cools. Mix in soy sauce, sesame, oil, sugar, rice wine, garlic and a pinch of pepper. Then cook the beef. Add the sautéed vegetables and the remaining soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and then combine everything well.
Trouble Situations
I had a lot of trouble creating this dish because it consisted of many ingredients. And also, this was one of my most significant dishes I had made in my life, except when last year, Ms. Nikkolos, a teacher from my school forced me to make by own Brownies on a bake sale. I was very worried when I looked at the steps because it was harder than it sounded because it had only a few steps but it took a lot longer.
