The Curious Incident Of The Dog In the Night-Time
The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time pgs 190-195
This part is the part that I have been waiting for since I read that his mother was still alive. I really really liked this part because it's emotional and so cute to see that Christopher is reunited with his mother again. Although, I don't like Mr.Shears because he is so mean to Christopher. I hate people who just don't understand anything or even know the whole truth and just base a judgement from what they know instead of the whole truth.
I think The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, by Mark Haddon is very emotional in this part because it's the part where Christopher finally gets to meet his mother and even though it wasn't the way it was supposed to be, what matters is that they see each other after such a long time. I think this oart is very cute because who wouldn't like to be with their mother??? (rhetorical question)
A passage from pages 191 that seems important is: "And I was lying on the ground and Mother held up her right hand and spread her fingers out in a fan so that I could touch her fingers...." I think this is a special moment because it shows the love that Christopher and his mother have for each other even after everything that happened.
This section of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time reminds me of a song. In "Make yourself at Home" by one of my favorite bands The Starting Line, the song's lyrics talks about making someone at home after such a long time. Even though the lyrics happen to be about the singer coming back home from all the sucess and tours, but if you view it in Christopher and his mother's perspective the song fits in real good.
What's probably going to happen next is that Christopher will stay with his mother forever.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book because there has been conflict and I want to know if Christopher will stay with her. ^.^
