While searching these databases, I found that Historical New York Times and World Book Online were the easiest to use. They had the most articles about global warming with a lot of new and interesting information. I will definitely be using them to write my research paper. I only found a few articles on Utah Digital Newspapers and they weren’t very informative. I couldn’t log into NewsBank, so I wasn’t able to use that resource at all.

I came across an article called Global Warming on the World Book Online website. It discussed the causes of global warming as well as the impact it is having on our world today. The greenhouse gases in the air are trapping the heat from the sun in our atmosphere. This causes the rise in temperature. This is taking a toll on many plants and animals. Different species are migrating to higher altitudes where the weather is cooler. Unfortunately, it is not easy for them to relocate and scientists are worried they aren’t adjusting properly. Another side effect is the rise in sea level, which is causing erosion and flooding.

On the Historical New York Times website, I found an article titled, Global Warming is One Subject Scientists Can Agree On. It would appear that most scientists are on the same page regarding this subject. They believe that global warming is a serious problem and needs to be dealt with immediately. However, there are still some that don’t believe it is really happening. They think it is simply a myth.
