I found an article titled “My Life on Death Row”. It was written by a man named Wilbert Rideau who was in April of 1962, arrested, chained, and transported to Louisiana’s Death Row. His article goes into great detail about how awful Death Row really was. I liked this article and found it interesting because I had always been under the assumption that those on Death Row actually have luxuries. For example, I believed that they had more freedom than we realized, that they could have personal belongings. Rideau proved me wrong in this intriguing article
