Differences in Audio Taste

 i believe it has more to do with what we are exposed and our personalities, personally me i like every thing that has a good melody and a decent beat can't be too slow and it can't be heavy rock

Hello Susan this is Christian founder of the Screamo/Emo Group. I really liked your question, "Differences in Audio Taste", because well..... i think that you brought up a good question. To my opinion i think that we like different music because of what we are exposed to and/or because some people juts have something inside of them that draws them to certain sounds. I mean if you think about it, it's true in a way because people can be influenced in to a certain genre of music because maybe the music is from one's country and therefore parents/family are always listening to it, you get used to it. I come from Ecuador and my parents listen to music from Ecuador, not just that but also Latin music in general. Since i was brought up with Latin music, i kind of like to listen to it. Don't get me wrong, I hate some Latin genres, but what is Pop and Rock (i just love it.) The other theory you tried to question was about something being inside of us that draws us to a certain sound. I really agree with this one, because right now i'm such an Screamo/Emo fan, and i juts love listening to it because i feel like something inside me draws me to that certain sound. I think your questions made a really good point, because i might just be wrong and just one of these two theories may affect the audio preference of someone.   

In my neighborhood, the most dominant music genre is Hip-Hop. However, I'm a techno/metal-head junkie. So yeah, there probably is something, deep inside that draws us to specific sounds.
