Different and Unique

A couple months before my birth, the O.B.G.Y.N told my parents, they were expecting a boy. Of course me being the first boy, they got their hopes up; planning to name me Paul after my father. His middle name.

The day of my birth on a hot summer day. I came out sliding with a part different from a boy. Confused. My uncle says "Why not name her Paula-Christine. It's different & unique."

But till this day I'm only called the first part of my name. Even though I don't like it, I wouldn't be who I am today without it. Which is loud, outgoing and known everywhere I go.

How ever lets just say it won't be getting passed down anytime soon. No thank you, no way, no girls coming my way.

Of love your short essay.I like how your thought they were going to have a boy and when they found out that it was a girl all they did was add another letter to your name to make it sound like a girl.
