digital composition: diagonals

This picture is a good example of diagonals. The sign’s post stretches upwards and away, making an obvious diagonal line in several different places. The holes, the shadows, and the highlights in the post all form parallel diagonal lines. Your eyes are easily drawn to the center of interest, or the colorful parking sign.
