Does Your Child Lack Self Esteem - Part 2 | Ways To Build Self Esteem
Shared by Tiffany
I don't think that parents can low their child's self esteem. The reason I say that is because children don't really care about what their parents think but when it comes out into the real world it may seem true to them. I don't think parents should always be congratulated on everything they do, because if they start to fail they start to act cocky and accept the failures. I don't think its good to always hear the negatives, but sometimes it builds you up and you start to do better.
Of course it is true that there are time that parents forget to praise their children for the good things they do, however the same parents will scold them when it is bad. So there are times when children only hear the negatives and nothing about the positives. The positives are the times in a child’s life where they build confidence within themselves and this should be praised.
