The narrative I read shed new light on the topic I didn’t quite understand fully. The narrative showed me that ordinary school children just like me went through this life shaking, literally, experience. This experience caused children to have fear and concern for their families, and in this girls case other physical symptoms. This account helped me realize that the earth quake not only affected the children in a physical way, but also gave them mental stress. Most phone lines were down, so most students could not find out if there families were hurt or not. If I were in there shoes I would be very shaken. I would feel distress that I can’t contact me family, and that would be terrible along with the physical damage to the belongings of people
