The economy

The topic that I believe dictated 2011 was the economy. All along it had been news about rising unemployment, big-wig corporations raking in the big bucks, and the government too stubborn to compromise and help their people. The economy is such a big part of life that such big changes that occurred on 2011 affected everyone in one way or another. Thousands were laid off, prices began to climb, especially oil, politicians would get as far as talking about passing legislation to assist struggling families, and somehow major corporations’ revenue began to see increases. There’s no part of life that isn’t affected by changes in the economy in some way, and in 2011 there were big changes making it the most significant topic of 2011.
