Egyptian Military - Egyptian Protest
The military is a force used when the most extreme measure, or often counter-measure is called for, namely These 2011 protest. The military is supposed to protect the citizens under their flag, and in fact, that’s what the military announced - “The presence of the army in the streets is for your sake and to ensure your safety and wellbeing. The armed forces will not resort to use of force against our people” the army statement said. This is all well and good and they do indeed help their people, but not enough. This article, UN human rights chief: 300 reported dead in Egypt protest states that 300 are dead, and 3,000 are injured.....the military isn’t doing enough from what it seems. Surely w/o the military those number will sky rocket, but this is a large number no less. Despite the presence of military, people are getting killed for expressing their political beliefs....this is why I hate politics, it’s more violent then religion.
