This photo caught my eye because of a melancoly type emotion it brings out. This photo pops out very much. The coloring and the view of the eyes is pretty sick,

This is a very interesting photo in several ways. First, I notice that the subject is not looking directly into the camera, which makes it somewhat mysterious and unique. Also, what caught my attention was the shadows above the eyes and below the nose. This helps to add to the contrast. A suggestion I have is that you might want to create a more interesting perspective, as opposed to the normal frontal portrait photos. Overall, it is a good photo with a great use of mood and shadows.
