Eliminate Stress During Finals
As AP tests and finals quickly approach, many students fail under pressure. Grades fall, tension rises, and many students lose hope in their grades. When you’re studying for several tests at a time, it’s easy to get material mixed up. I have fallen victim to this horrible time that occurs at the end of every school year. I was wondering if there was a way to minimize the stress and anxiety while still focusing on studying and grades.
I researched a few easy ways to avoid crashing before tests have even started. One way is to begin studying many weeks in advance. This helps you in not getting last minute stress. One should also eat healthy to keep themselves energized. While many students take in as much caffeine as they can during finals and AP tests, caffeine is actually said to make one feel more nervous and anxious. Caffeine should be avoided if possible.
One of the big factors that go into test grades and stress is sleep. Especially when this much time is being sent staring at books and notes all day, students should try to get as much sleep as possible. Everyone’s brain needs a break.
Only study for about an hour at a time. Then take a few minutes to take a break. This helps students to stay on task while not getting frustrated or tired from reading too much. Exercise is also an important factor. This will help keep you energized and ready to take tests.
Following all of these simple rules should help anyone in doing the best they can while studying for and taking finals and AP tests. Prepare for success!
