emotion affect personality

I'm learning more about personality right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: How emotion related to personality? As I was reading in my Google Reader, a website, "Emotion Nivigator", http://www.face-and-emotion.com/dataface/emotion/emotion_intro.jsp, caught my attention because it explains what is emotion and how it formed. It related to how personality formed and why people have such behavior.

 

The quote I chose here is basically saying that emotion is due to feeling component, set of behaviors that may be performed and observed in conjunction with an emotion. Also, the set of internal bodily changes caused by the smooth muscles and glands. Moreover, component in emotion consists of the ideation, imagery, and thoughts that occur during emotion. The final one is the neural processes that underline much of preceding activities can be considered a component of the emotion process.

 

I think this is descriptive because these statements told me what components formed emotion and how it affect humans' personality. I discovered that persoanlity causes a person to create a certain lifestyle, and lifestyle causes emotion reactions. That's why emotion can characterize different personalities. And now, I am wondering how genetic affect people's personalities.
