Events and stories of the last couple of years

Some of the topic trending topics of the past few years are still talked about today, especially when you're talking to suburban mothers. Every mother in America was devastated, as was I, when Oprah Winfrey decided to end her 25 year reign as the most watched talk show. Her last season, I watched like it was my religion. I couldn't miss an episode; my DVR was set to record "Oprah" every afternoon at 4.

Another topic within the last few years- Will and Kate's marriage!! They made it longer than Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Don't get me wrong, I love all the Kardashian's and their TV shows, but it wasn't too big of a surprise that they didn't make it as long as she thought they could. Will and Kate's wedding was the most watched international event in the world. Every one watched as they said their "I Will''s and shared a kiss over the balcony.

And last but not least, the economy was the biggest story of 2011. Everyone was effected in either negative or positive ways by the crash of 2008. Majority, The "99%" decided to take a stand and Occupy Wall Street. The Occupy movement went National, and even people in Salt Lake City took apart of Occupy. As Utahn's camped, little did they know that across the street from where they pitched their tents, was an office for GoldmanSachs.

We'll just have to wait and see what the rest of 2012 has in store for us!!
