Evolution on Steroids
The subject of evolution has been a touchy subject for centuries as religious groups have denied the scientific theory. However, its becoming more and more difficult to combat as discoveries from around the world make the theory of evolution an almost fact. No place is a hotter place for new species than the Congo, and some recent finds have blown the minds of scientists and religious folk alike.
In 2008 Trip Jennings and his crew of explorers took to the Congo river to explore its many mysterious nooks and crannies, hoping to find some interesting new discoveries. Jennings found just that, and more. The Congo River, being one of the deepest and highest-volume white water rivers, is teaming with unknown species. In his recent expedition Jennings found some incredibly new and diverse species of fish, proving that the Congo is a hot bed for fish diversity.
One of the most important finds was that of the Goliath tiger fish. A fish closely resembling a barracuda, the tiger fish can grow to weigh up to 150 pounds and its got large razor sharp teeth allowing it to surpass barriers built to keep fish out. Scientists believe this fish may have already begun to morph into different species,

Scientists are extremely excited about these new discoveries and can only imagine what more lies in the Congo River.
"If Darwin had come here, I think we would have had the theory of evolution published a lot sooner."
