Ezio vs Altair
Something that has bugged my mind for a while is, who is better, Ezio or Altair? I remember my classmates and I discussing it ahttp://youthvoices.net/node/add/vb-discussion few years back. No one really took the matter seriously though. Now the situation has rose up again as I see the Assassin's Creed 3 case on my shelf. I am an Altair fan all the way, but I want to hear other people's opinion. I have some information on both characters too.

I will give a rundown. Ezio is Italian and born in Firenze during the Italian Renaissance. He was born into the assassin universe when his brother, dad, and cousin die by a corrupt super power. Now, on a later not it takes Ezio about 20 years to become a master assassin. He starts off his assassin training at 20. Ezio has learned his skills from street rats and the whores of Italy and later learning new skills by studying Altair's notes. Ezio's only advantage would be the hook blade, poison darts, and well that is it. The rest of his weapons and skills were learned by Altair's notes.
Now, on to Altair. You can read up on him here : http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Alta%C3%AFr_Ibn-La%27Ahad.Altair was born in Masyaf which is in the middle east.Altair became a master assassin at the mere age of 20. Altair has all the same skills as Ezio and he has more discipline that Ezio. Altair is the basis of Ezio's skills. So basically, Altair is Ezio's mentor. Also Altair has better use of his skills and weapons, because he has been an assassin all his life unlike Ezio which stopped when he hit 53.
So now you decide. Which master assassin are you behind? Ezio, the Italian heart-throb of death , or Altair the youngest and most disciplined master assassin as of yet.

First off, Ezio stopped being an assassin because he was done with that lifestyle. He no longer wanted to kill people, and after Revelations he realized he was not meant for that life. Ezio took apart in multiple games, from Italy to Constantinople. On the other hand, Altair was an assassin till his death, and you have to give him props for that. However I believe that the true assassino is Ezio. Crazy Crazy Killer.

Thank you for your opinion. I still stand on my opinion, because without Altair's notes Ezio would not have made it as far as he did. I also do know the whole assassin's creed history, but I left some facts out in case people who haven't played the whole series wouldn't be left out. Hence the links to the wiki pages. You seem like a decent assassin's creed fan , so I can't wait to hear from you again my fellow assassin. Thank you.

I appreciate your insight, however I have to agree with 15WiernikI. Ezio was ridiculous and Da Vinci was a major help to him. Da Vinci equipped him with some serious weapons and Ezio used those to the best of the abilities. He brought down the Borgia empire, and acquired the Mysaff Keys which were left behind by Altair. A true assassin was able to acquire those keys, and Ezio did. I respect your opinions and you bring up a valuable point with the notes, however it was up to Ezio to uncover the truth.

Thank you bro for backin me up. True assassins wad up BOii! Ezio is the only assassin who could match up to altair but because of the technology that came hundreds of years after Altair, Ezio was able to have much better weapons/utilities. His adventures are much more fun and challenging. Ezio owns Altair in every category. Looking forward to your wack response.

The only thing Ezio can use against Altair will probably be the hook blade, because if you recall when Altair takes back Masyaf Altair already has the hidden gun so wouldn't he already have the poison darts as well? Also Altair made the best armor in the world for the assassin( acquired by Ezio in AC2) so this proves Altair has the best armory and weaponry. Also if you wanna talk about great feats, Altair can control the apple without losing control or fainting like Ezio does ( Assassin's Creed Brotherhood). And one huge thing was Altair cannot be subdued by the apple unlike Ezio. Altair has a stronger willpower then Ezio.
About the hidden gun
Altair didn't actually have it, but the apple of Eden allowed him to"shoot" the mentor with something that altair had seen from the future, if the apple of eden wasn't involved Ezio would have multiple weapons over altair

He may have a cool story, but that doesn't get you kills. Also Ezio wouldn't even be a successful assassin without Altair's teachings and designs. The only reason Ezio has his weapons is because the great Altair designed them. Get your facts straight.

I enjoyed reading your post, "Ezio vs Altair," because it was very interesting and is something that we both know about. I personally think that Altair is better than Ezio as well. I think most people like Ezio more because you got to play with him in the games for a longer time period and only being able to play with Altair for just one game. One sentence that stood out for me is: "So basically, Altair is Ezio's mentor." This is true because if there was no Altair then there would never be an Ezio. Ezio got all his skills passed down from Altair.
Another sentence that stood out for me is: "The rest of his weapons and skills were learned by Altair's notes." This is not so true because Di Vinci made some weapons that Altair could have never got like the tank in brotherhood.

This is sadly true. Most people just focus on Ezio, because of his long story. Witch they don't realize is the troubles Altair went through even though we never get to play as him as much as we want too.
Another sentence that stood out for me was "This is not so true because Di Vinci made some weapons that Altair could have never got like the tank in brotherhood." What I meant was the weapons that Altair and Ezio use on a daily basis is taken from the notes of Altair.

I really like your post “ Ezio vs Altair because as you know I’ve played the games. I agree with you that Altair is a better assassin than Ezio. I believe that Altair is better because of the achievements he accomplished at a young age. One sentence that stood out to me was “ Altair became a master assassin at the mere age of 20”. I knew that, but every time I hear that is say wow!. That’s pretty impressive, you got to admit.
Ezio wasn’t even close to a master assassin at the age of 20. Altair even at an old age still kicked butt as seen in Revelations when he killed the guy who almost killed his wife. Another sentence that stood out to me was “ Also Altair has better use of weapons ans his skills”. That’s so true he really does and has a vast knowledge of stealth and leadership.
I really liked your post and I hope to see more of your post they are very interesting especially the one of surviving the z plague.

I am grateful for your comment. One sentence that I found interesting was "Ezio wasn’t even close to a master assassin at the age of 20". I know this is a great feat and I love that you realize that. I hope people can look past that idea of Ezio is more better,because we play as him for a long time. Ezio took many years to even get at Altair's level. As we see in revelations Altair even had more potential than we ever knew existed!

Man thank you for making this thread. Altair all the way. Ezio was always a gentleman and a ladies man. Altair was a cold assasin who just got the job done. And yes Altair had bacically trained Ezio. Sure Ezio had awesome stuff but Altair created it! All the Ezio fans like him because you do get to play him longer, but i gound Altair more fun to play. Um, the reason Altair was master assassin at the age of twenty was because he was pretty much born and brought up as an assassin. Ezio didnt know about his heritage until his late teens. and besides, Altair kind of wanted the Apples power all to himself. Ezio wasnt like that, he didnt abuse its power. and besides, Ezio's character out classes Altair. I mean, dont get me wrong Altair is awesome, but I just feel Ezio is better as we have a lot of games about him alone. and besides, Ezio was a machine, he killed everyone who he had to. he spared as many lives as possible, but Altair didnt do that. but you gave some pretty good info

Yeah, I really must agree with you. I love Altair and all ... but I really think, that Ezio is better. It is true that Ezio killed only the people he had to unlike Altair. I love both but I think Ezio is more fun and I like his games more. I really love his character. It´s so adorable. But I must say, that Altair is the best assassin in the world, but he don´t have the charming Ezio´s personallity.

I enjoyed your post "Ezio vs altair". I really have to take altairs side in this because.....well altair was the bases of ezios. Altair mastered the apple of eden and used it to create altairs armor. He also killed al muliam and went on to become a grand master at the age of 20. As stated above altair was a assasin until his death and ezio actualy stoped at the age of 53 which means that altair was gaining skills all throught there life. Altair is better hands down.
