Fear The Gyre

I learned a lot about the extremely high levels of platic in the Northern Pacific.  This high content of plastic was only found 14 years ago by a man named Charles Moore.  The area of highier than normal levels of plastic is said to be just under twice the size of Texas.  There are 100 million tons of plastic in our oceans right now.  2.5% of all plastic made between 1950 to now is now in our oceans.  It is expected to double in size in 10 years, with the rate we are at right now.  As you can see this is a very serious topic and this article provided me with essential information for my research essay.
