A Fresh Start

Maria Robinson once said: “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” To me this quote means that no matter how you started; whether you had a good start or a bad one you can't go back and change it, but you can pull yourself together and finish out strong. I am guilty of this myself; all of my beginnings have gone wrong in one way or another, but this quote is helping me understand that wishing the past was better is never the answer, it’s just a waste of time. In order to make things better you must focus on the future, not look back, get back up do your best to finish out strong.

My high school life so far is not the best. For me high school has been tough, I’ve had to worry about lots of drama, my grades, home, my future. I’m nearing half point in high school, yet I have not met my own expectations. I constantly remind myself I can do better, and I really can’t wait to do so. I’m learning that procrastination is not my friend, and I better get to it; making moves at the right time.My greatest achievement has been passing my regents exams. I hope to stay focused, do the same this year, pass all my classes and not have to go to summer school. One thing I’m not satisfied with is my grades and not making the softball team.

With spring finally finally here, I’d love to have a fresh start with life. I want to end my sophomore year with good grades ,pass my geometry regents with a score high enough to grant me an advanced regents diploma, I want to start searching for the right college for me. It’s going to be a lot of work but I’m really excited. A lot of people are nervous and unprepared to go to college and so am I but I believe I can get through it with flying colors. I also want to find a summer job and finally get some money(I’m broke!!) and hopefully get my accessory making on.

In my time being in this world (186 months and 9 days) I want to have a fresh start, because is like Maria Robinson said you can’t go back and change your beginning, but you can make a new ending which is what I want to do with my life, make myself a brand new ending and just keep moving forward making a better future for myself.
