Not all games are the same. Some are video games meant to entertain people who aree bored out of their minds. Others seemed to just teach little kids what so say or not. While others are just played to have fun and make money. Whatever the type of game it is, the goal for it is just to make money. Either way, it just makes us human beings have fun and enjoy ourselves. There are board games that contain many things that can make you win, just like Monopoly. Then there are playground games that little kids enjoy to play while they are outside. Also, many older adults love to play chess, a game about strategy.
I am addicted to action/adventure games. I even enjoys some RPG’s now and then. My favorites are Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Pokemon SoulSilver Version, and Super Mario Galaxy. i love to beat Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, I crave to collect all the Gym Badges in Pokemon SoulSilver Version, and like to explore the new galaxies that I find in Super Mario Galaxy. In Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (SA2B), I love to get A-ranks in all the levels, take care of the really (and i mean REALLY cute) chao, and to win my liitle brothers using Sonic (That just proves that Sonic is better than Shadow). In SoulSilver, I love to beat the Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and the Pokemon Champion. In Super Mario Galaxy, I like gaining the stars, beating the bosses, and winning over Bowser. (Although I am a Sonic fan, I know full well that the rivalry between Sonic Team and Nintendo is officially over.)
Recently, i have been spending some time playing Ayiti: Cost of Life. The roles of the game is to help the Guinard Family survive the life on Haiti after the earthquake. The way to win is to survive 4 years in Haiti, seperated in 16 seasons. They work and live just to make money, for the survival on the way. Then in a matter of time, the money will gain them more luxuries that will help them along the way. The thing you have to earn is the bed, plumbing and the livestock. It is your best bet that you choose that first. You have 4 choices to choose from to live your life. They are Money, Happiness, Education, and Health. The best way to go is the Money way of life. From the money, it will end up like the picture below. The picture is a screenshot of the game, when you have passed all 4 years.
Many of the games are based on the fact that they are meant to entertain people who have nothing to do. Cost of Life was a different type of experience for me because it took me a while to beat and get this score. The first time I played, all the members of the family died and I had to start all over. It’s still fun to play, but then again, it took me a while. I also had to find a walkthrough just to help me get through the game. It was nothing like the games I have ever played. Even Sonic Colors was awesome for me, but I was wondering if I try again. One thing to say; If you hate cheesy music, then mute your sound for the game. It gets too repetitive and it gets too annoying. Most of the time I spent was playing the game and listening to ‘Be it that Forever’ by Bentley Jones. but either way, the game was fun to play.
