Garden
Our English teacher thought of this project where we have go to the garden near our school and odserve a plot. The garden is called Kassina Corndor Park Garden It was kind of boring because my plot never really changed. It was always the same. But going outside our classroom was always great most of the time the weather was disgusting it was either cold or cloudy. But sometimes it was nice and sunny which was beautiful.
On Wednesday my class went outside to the Korean garden. It was freezing outside no one wanted to be outside that day but we were forced to. Our teacher asked us to pick a plot and write about it. I picked a plot that had some plants that looked like spinach leaves. There were also some flowers on the sides. I took pictures of the garden that i will put up later.
The second day we went back to the garden I saw that the plants on my garden grew and it looked like red spinach. I recognized it because we eat it at home sometimes. It tastes really good if its fresh.
Our third day in the garden was okay. When I went to my plot I didn't see any difference. Spinach plants looked the same it didn't change at all. The flowers on the sides grew a little bit but there wasn't a lot of flowers.
My plot finally grew. When I went there the forth day I saw that the plants grew. I think that they planted some green spinach too. The ones that are kind off bitter. Also there were more flowers on the side.
Our English teacher showed us a Ted video on school lunch. A school chef named Ann Cooper talk about school lunches and how its not very nutritious. Also how some kids are not learning anything about healthy eating.
One quote that stood out for me was "We have to make kids understand that their food choices make a big difference." This stood our for me because I think its true because with all the illnesses that happens to people for not eating right is very scary and if a child understands this from an early age its better for his/her future.
