getting into an argument
Hunger by Lan Samantha Chang.There is a huge argument between the girl and her father. She is wanting to leave the house and everything and her father is saying how she is only a child and she can not leave the house unless it is his orders. She was ignoring Anna like she didnt even hear her or anything. Everything was just going wrong and she seemed really pissed and like she is not in the mood to say anything.
I am likeing Hunger by Lan Samantha Chang because it shows a lot of things and right now it is really interesting that their is a huge argument going on and I want to see how they are going to solve it. An example of what I mean is 72 when they said I am your father and you are only a child. Well she is only a child, but sometimes we want alone time and our freedom as well so they need to understand that and also she is a child so she shouldnt be like she wants to leave the house and move out and everything.
One of the big ideas or themes in this book is argument You can see this on page 73 where it says: "let go of my arm! your hurting me!." As you can see Lan Samantha Chang wants us to think about things can seriously get when people get into arguments and she is trying to show us how we can solve it as well. Also she is trying to show how parents do actually care for you and everything and wanting to make sure nothing happens to their own kids.
This theme in Hunger reminds me of something my own post arguments are about forgiveness. http://youthvoices.net/node/2757. Arguments I think are really about forgiving each other. You can not be mad at each other all the time and hate each other when you see one another. One person needs to learn how to forgive and stuff and a lot of people get into arguments, but we can get over it.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book because I want to figure out what is going to happen next and what is the solution to the argument that they are having. Also I want to know if the father did anything to her or something or maybe grounded her and it was really mean that she was ignoring Anna as well.
