The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is a popular novel by Stieg Larsson. I have read the book and seen the original Swedish film. On December 21, the American film will come out starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. I don't see why we have to make an American version when there is already a movie out but I'm hoping that they do a good job with this movie. The Swedish version of the movie was similar to the book but they could have been a lot closer to the book so I'm hoping that the American version will be closer to the book (I doubt it, but there's still a chance...) I am apprehensive about the American version and hope that it doesn't focus too much on the bad parts of the book. I just found out that Stieg Larsson's inspiration for the books came from seeing a gang rape when he was 15 years old and the girls name was Lisbeth. He has since spent much of his time on human rights campaigns; he has been on campaigns for race equality, the ending of human trafficking, and gender equality. Stieg Larsson is definitely an author who was admirable in real life as well as an amazing author.
