the grasshopper's choice

I created the scratch animation
as my response to a project to create an interactive ethical story. An ethical story is a tale where one or more of the character(S) is/are faced with at least two choices. these choices are thought to be as the good, humane choice and the bad, consequential choice.

my story is about a grasshopper having to make a choice about whether to have fun and procrastinate his work or to finish his work. the viewer is given the option of whether to choose choice A where the grasshopper decides to collect food for winter later. or choice b where the grasshopper collects his food earlier. this choice was influenced by the ant who comes early i the dilemma to convince the grasshopper. in my story you are the grasshopper and you make the choices... so choose wisely.

my story was influenced by Aesop, who created the story of the ant and the grasshopper. i had seen his tales on a website, and i must say i had never heard of most of them. so i went with the one i knew and could relate to. i myself am trying to stop procrastinating because in the end there are some very serious consequences.

i think i was successful in creating my story because i was able to finish in a good amount of time. i also had this image o my head that i wanted to see in front of me and by creating this animation i matched it closely with how i imagined it to be. i also fulfilled all the requirements like the amount of time, which i had trouble with but completed. i was able to do these with one word i can now use- experience.
