The Guardian By Nicholas Sparks
I'm currently reading the book The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks. It's about Julie Barenson's trying to cope about her husbands early death. He left her two gifts, a dog named Singer, and a promise to always be watching over her. After four years have passed, Julie is emotionally ready to make a commitment to someone. She is in the midst of the love for Richard Franklin, the sophisticated and handsome engineer or her best friend Mike Harris. She thinks that choosing one of them, she'll be happy but instead she's caught in a nightmare that sprouted from an envious man.
Sparks has done a very great job on building up the suspense in the beginning of the book. It makes me eager to continue the book because I want to find out how Julie is able to escape her nightmare, and she ends up choosing.
