Growing up, I was raised on bottle water and purified water. My family and I never would drink any faucet water or any other kind of water that didn't come in a bottle. One could say I just wasn't appreciative when it came to water. I would just let the water in my shower run for ten minutes, never would drink all my water out my bottles, I pretty much wasted water. But as I got older, I began to realize that everyone in this world doesn't even have clean water to drink, shower, too go swimming, or to just play in for the fun of it.

Eighty percent of all diseases in the world are caused by unsafe drinking water and lack of sanitation. There are a million of mothers and children who walk miles and miles back and forth just to get water from muddy ponds and rivers. After Rita and all the other tragic storms that left people with lack of water. I began to feel bad because I've never felt or experienced what it feels like to be in their shoes and I've been misusing water like it's going out of style. When the big earthquake hit Haiti, many families were left with no clean water to drink for days. This is when I really had a turning point and a wake up call and I began to appreciate all the things I have especially water. There are many people in this world who would give up anything and do anything for just a bucket of clean water.
