Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
In the first few chapter that I have read in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", I came across an interesting quote. This quote was "The house is full of presents for Dudley, who's fat and lazy. Harry, in contrast, is tiny and thin, and wears glasses. He doesn't know much how he got the scar on his forehead, beyond his aunt telling him he got it in the car crash that killed his parents." This quote I liked, because it shows what Harry's background really is, but it is not the truth. He did not get it in a car accident, but a curse.
This quote has changed my thinking, because it has made me more open to the fact that everything is not what it seems to be. The quote is what his aunt had told him, but it was not what happened and Harry did not know how he got it other than that. The quote can tell you a lot about that sometimes, you will not even know the truth about yourself. This quote also brings out that sometimes you cannot trust everything that someone tells you, because it may not be true. The quote opened up knew thinking to me, and made me view a situation at another angle.
