Has the number of people who have HIV/AIDS decreased or increased over the past decade?
What do I know about HIV and AIDS? Well, I know that you can get the disease if you have unprotected sex. I also know you can get it from using used needles and coming in contact with infected people's blood or other body liquids. The disease weakens your immune system and makes it hard for your body to fight against infections and viruses. People who have the disease don't live too long because they basically won't be able to fight off viruses. There is no cure for HIV/AIDS but it sure is preventable! So be careful and make the right choices.
With my general knowledge of this infection, one question that come to my mind is: Has the number of people who had the infection decreased or increased over the past decade? I did some research, and it shows an increase. Overall, HIV/AIDS is very important and hopefully the number decreases and soon, we find a cure.

Dear Gabriella,
I am startled by your post "Has the number of people with Aids decreased or increased over the past decade ?" because its sad to know that even with this increase people are still having sex unprotected and passing it along. I totally agree with and support the law that states if a person knows they have this disease and passing it along you receive jail time.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is " People who have the disease don't live too long because they basically won't be able to fight off viruses." I disagree with this sentence because they have medicines that can help HIV patients live a long life. They just have to go to the extra measures to help the medicines. Eating healthy and exercising helps stimulate your immune system to help the medications fight off viruses. Although AIDS is not a curable disease, you can still live a long life with it.
Another sentence that I was unsure about was " Overall, HIV/AIDS is very important and hopefully the number decreases and soon, we find a cure." This stood out to me because I was watching the news this morning and they had mentioned how they found or are very close to finding a cure for prenatal aids. That's when a mother has the virus and passes it to her infant. So I believe that there would be a cure for aids in the next 40 years. If they do find one I know for a fact you would have to pay for it out of pocket and no health insurance could help you pay for it.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next.
