I'm learning more about self-esteem right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: What is the difference between fragile and shallow self-esteem? As I was reading in my Google Reader this magazine article caught my attention because i don't know the difference about fragile self-esteem and shallow self-esteem. After i read this article I found out that people with fragile self-esteem exaggerate a lot.

The quote I chose is basically saying that people with fragile self-esteem do more crazy things than people with shallow self-esteem don't do crazy things.

I think this is good because it tells people that if you exaggerate a lot f times, doubts a lot, then maybe you have a fragile self-esteem. That means that you have a low self-esteem.
"There are many kinds of high self-esteem, and in this study, we found that for those in which it is fragile and shallow, it's no better than having low self-esteem," Michael Kernis, a professor of psychology, said in a prepared statement. "People with fragile self-esteem compensate for their self doubts by engaging in exaggerated tendencies to defend, protect and enhance their feelings of self-worth."
