In advisory we have been learning about HIV in detail, which includes virus facts, the immune system, prevention, and transmission. Even though we have to have relearn this curriculum every year, I don't really mind. I much rather learn about HIV, then have to read. Anyway this was the second week of learning about HIV and we covered two topics which were prevention and transmission. The only way to be 100% HIV-free is to be abstinent. There are four bodily fluids that cannot transmit HIV (tears, mucus, saliva, sweat) and five (blood, vaginal fluids, breast milk, semen, pre-seminal fluid) that can. Anyway to end our unit, we played HIV jeopardy to review our knowledge. I think this year I learned the most about HIV and I wasn't bored about it.
